About Us
Veterinary Medical Center of Woodland Hills is actively seeking a Full-Time Experienced Veterinary Assistant. We believe in the importance of cross-training. The ideal candidate would be compassionate towards our patients, clients, and the team.
Requirements
- Comfortable with client communication
- Handle animals with care
- IV catheter placement
- Venipuncture and performing in-house blood work (Idexx)
- Obtaining radiographs with knowledge of proper positioning
- Prepare patients for surgery
- Experience monitoring anesthesia
- Assist a technician with appointments and treatments
- Have a knowledge base of commonly used medications, generate medication labels, and fill prescriptions
- Open availability, including Saturdays
- At least two years of experience preferred; willing to train the right candidate
Pay & Benefits
Pay rate: $21.00–$25.00/hr depending on experience.
