Temporary Donor Recruitment Associate

About the Role

This is a temporary position expected to last up to 6-9 months. By joining the American Red Cross you become part of the world's largest humanitarian network.

Assist with blood drive management activities, cover account manager vacancies, conduct ad hoc support tasks and maintain accurate records to ensure blood drives achieve donation goals. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.

What You'll Do

• Assist account managers to ensure blood drives achieve goal through drive management activities (on-site recruitment, presentations to sponsoring organizations)
• Provide oversight and record keeping (Hemasphere online recruitment/scheduling system)
• Provide routine organizational and operational support to blood drive coordinators
• May schedule education programs for Sponsor contacts, recruitment committees, and volunteer telerecruiters
• Cover vacant territories and work with local volunteers and leadership as needed
• Maintain accurate system records and tracking/statistical data on Sponsor group performance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• 1 year of related experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of group dynamics, direct sales, customer maintenance techniques, negotiation skills preferred
• Strong organizational skills; good oral/written communication skills preferred
• Valid driver's license and good driving record required; own transportation for business purposes
• Travel throughout assigned territory required
• Sales or marketing experience preferred

Pay & Benefits

Salary range for this position (CA): $70,304.00 annually.
