About the role
Substitute Paraeducator for Transitional Kindergarten (TK) programs at Burbank Unified School District. Provides on-call coverage supporting TK students and teachers when regular paraeducators are absent.
What you'll do
- Support TK students with classroom instruction under teacher direction
- Assist with student transitions, routines, and daily activities
- Provide behavioral and academic support to individual students as needed
- Follow lesson plans and IEP accommodations prepared by the classroom teacher
- Maintain a safe, nurturing environment for young learners
Requirements
- High school diploma required; 48 college units preferred
- Experience with young children preferred
- Flexibility to accept assignments on short notice
- Patience and enthusiasm for working with preschool and kindergarten-age students
Pay & benefits
$18.58/hr. Per Diem (substitute) position with BUSD; no guaranteed hours.
