About the Role

Sterile Processing Technician at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA. Full-time, 8-hour Evening shifts. Providence St. Joseph is Magnet® recognized — the nation's highest recognition for nursing excellence.

Under supervision, this position decontaminates, checks, assembles, sterilizes, and distributes reusable surgical/clinical instrumentation and implants throughout the hospital. Operates steam autoclaves, hydrogen peroxide sterilizers, sonic equipment, automated washers, and heat sealers.

Requirements

• Education to meet certification, license, or registration requirement
• Within 1 year of hire: National Certified Registered Central Service Technician (HSPA) OR National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CBSPD)
• 1 year of experience or graduate from a central service program
