Sr Director, Projects

About the Role

The Sr. Project Director is responsible for senior direction and management of all Facility Construction development aspects for major land, attraction, or hotel development ("the Project"), including coordination, communications, planning, budgeting, scheduling, estimating, design, construction, fabrication, delivery, and commissioning required to open the Project meeting or exceeding assigned budget, quality, schedule, creative, and guest experience targets.

Responsibilities

• Construction/Fabrication/Implementation: senior responsibility for the qualification, procurement, selection, contracting, and performance of all contractors, vendors, manufacturers, and fabricators; ensure project procedures are followed for correspondence, RFIs, directives, shop drawings, submittals, meeting minutes, punch lists, deficiency lists, notices, and pay applications
• Budget/Scheduling: maintain and report the overall project budget and schedule against targeted objectives
• Creative/Architectural Development: coordinate and implement the creative/architectural content developed by the Creative team and outside consultants
• Design Management: qualification, procurement, selection, contracting, coordination, and performance of Architectural, Engineering, and Technical Designers
• Personnel Management: selection and hiring of the project team; responsible for team performance and development
• Project Reporting: management, tracking, and reporting of all project components including budget, schedule, and progress to upper management
• Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities
• Ensure all creative work adheres to licensed IP guidelines while safeguarding confidential partner materials, approvals, and decisions

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field (Master's preferred)
• Licensed Architect or Engineer preferred
• Minimum 20-25 years of experience focused on the development and management of major theme parks and attractions
