Sr. Designer (Fashion & Accessories)

About the Role

The Universal Brand Development Group is hiring a Senior Designer of Product Design Development for Universal Products & Experiences Consumer Products, leading creative development of apparel and fashion accessories (bags, headwear, footwear) for IPs like Jurassic World, Minions, and Shrek.

What You'll Do

• Analyzes market trends to develop fashion-forward product concepts blending character aesthetics with modern fashion
• Leads translation of fashion trends into cohesive seasonal storytelling
• Provides design direction and feedback to licensees on textiles, construction, and graphics
• Adapts and expands Universal's style guides for apparel/accessory construction
• Manages licensee submission review and design feedback via Lunchpad
• Partners with Category Management, Legal, and Franchise teams

Requirements

• 4+ years of senior-level design experience in fashion (apparel, bags, footwear, etc.)
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
• Deep understanding of Fashion Tech Packs and 2D-to-3D garment construction
• In-depth knowledge of fabric properties, washes, and embellishment techniques
• Professional portfolio blending fashion trends with character-based IPs

Schedule

• Hybrid, minimum 4 days/week in office; travel may be required

Pay & Benefits

• $90,000-$105,000
