Job Summary: Delivers coordinated nursing care for outpatients in a clinic setting according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
Job Requirements: Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) — Preferred; hospital or physician's office experience — Preferred Licenses/Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice — Required; CPR/BLS certification — Required
Essential Functions: - Collects and analyzes patient assessment data, develops a care plan, implements and coordinates care, and evaluates progress toward outcomes - Collaborates with patients, families and the healthcare team in a safe, healing, humane environment; provides patient/family education - Prepares patient, room and equipment for surgical procedures and assists the physician with minor surgery - Delegates and coordinates duties of healthcare team members - Participates in discharge planning for continuity of care - Performs other job-related duties as assigned
