Registered Nurse – Critical Care Unit

About the Role

Encino Hospital Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Unit. Encino Hospital is a 150-bed state-of-the-art hospital in Encino, CA, with a multi-disciplinary staff of 330 physicians and 520 professional support staff.

Shift: Nights, Full Time

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU
• Communicate with physicians about changes in the patient's clinical condition, including hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic study results, and abnormal results
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
• Directly accountable for the care given to assigned patients

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License required
• Current BLS certificate upon hire (maintain current)
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire (maintain current)
• Minimum 1 year as a staff RN in an acute care hospital; critical care preferred
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Pay & Benefits

$40.41–$69.32/hr
