About the Role
Under the Assistant Director of Library, Arts & Culture, the Public Arts Intern provides programmatic and marketing support to the Glendale Arts & Culture Commission's initiatives, including the Adams Square Mini Park Gas Station Exhibits, Beyond the Box mural program, and Jewel City Concert Series. The intern also helps produce the Spotlight Series podcast and updates the Glendale Public Art Map.
This is part of the LA County Department of Arts & Culture's Arts Internship Program: a temporary, hourly, part-time position (20-30 hrs/week) running October 2026 through February 2027, requiring 400 hours of service by the end of February 2027.
What You'll Do
- Support ACC meetings and prepare meeting materials
- Assist with marketing and publicity for ACC programs
- Help produce the Spotlight Series podcast
- Update the Glendale Public Art Map
- Drive on City business as needed
Requirements
- Currently enrolled undergraduate student or recent graduate (degree completed May 1 – September 30, 2026)
- Must reside or attend college in Los Angeles County
- Proof of enrollment/transcript required
- Valid Class C California driver's license
- Data entry experience a plus
Pay
$18.47/hr (part-time, no medical/dental/accrued leave benefits)
