About the Role

Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology builds the technological backbone for Disney's global media business — including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and digital products across ESPN, Marvel, Disney Studios, NatGeo, and ABC News. The ABC Core Content Technologies engineering team is looking for a Principal Product Software Engineer to set technical direction for high-scale content platforms.

What You'll Do

• Set architectural direction for systems providing dynamic content management across ABC Entertainment, ABC News, ABC OTV, Disney, Marvel, National Geographic, and Studios, plus content ingestion, publishing pipelines, and image services
• Operate in highly ambiguous, complex problem spaces with long-term impact on brand, product, technology, and architecture
• Influence business and technology direction, bringing industry context to technical decisions
• Split time between coding, design, and architecture — writing critical-path code, deconstructing architectures so teams can execute independently, and aligning teams toward simple, coherent designs
