About the Role
Block LLP is seeking an experienced Plaintiff-Side Attorney for its Personal Injury and Habitability Departments. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of relevant experience and can independently manage cases from initial evaluation through settlement, litigation, or trial.
What You'll Do
- Independently manage a caseload from evaluation through resolution
- Evaluate liability, damages, and case value
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Conduct and defend depositions
- Handle court appearances, mediations, and settlement conferences
- Prepare cases for arbitration or trial
Requirements
- Active California Bar license in good standing
- Minimum 5 years of relevant legal experience
- Experience in plaintiff-side personal injury, habitability, or civil litigation
- Strong legal research, writing, and negotiation skills
- Spanish fluency a plus
