About the Role

Physician Assistant II / Nurse Practitioner II – Neurosurgery, Part-Time at Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills Medical Center. 20 hours/week, Evening shift.

Provides health care services to patients with acute episodic conditions or chronic problems, as well as those seeking health evaluation, preventive care, and counseling. Works under physician supervision in specialty departments consistent with educational preparation and KP Regional Practice Guidelines and Protocols.

Essential Responsibilities

• Collect subjective data (obtain history) and objective data (perform physical exam)
• Develop assessment (diagnosis) and management plan
• Facilitate referral of patients to appropriate health facilities, agencies, and community resources
• Order pharmacologic interventions
• Complete physical examinations; order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests
• Establish and document health care plans and diagnoses
• Functions in an expanded role for primary, acute, or emergency care to patients with complicated conditions requiring an advanced level of care in the specialty area
