What you'll do
- Prepare, administer, and measure radioactive isotopes in therapeutic, diagnostic, and tracer studies
- Prepare stock solutions of radioactive materials and calculate doses for radiologists
- Execute blood volume, red cell survival, and fat absorption studies
- Perform screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation
- Document radioactive materials and surveys per departmental procedures
Requirements
- Diploma/certificate from an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine — required
- Bachelor's Degree in nuclear medicine technology or equivalent — preferred
- State Nuclear Medicine License — required
- ARRT or NMTCB certification in Nuclear Medicine — required
- Venipuncture certification — required
