About the role

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (Northridge, CA) is seeking an Embedded Software Engineering Manager Level 2 to support advanced programs including AARGM ER and SiAW. This position is 100% on-site with a 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off).

Approximately 20% management duties; 80% direct technical contribution as a highly contributing software team member on Advance Weapons programs.

What you'll do

• Directly supervise and manage embedded software staff
• Provide objective-oriented directions using software engineering guidelines and general policies
• Day-to-day communications, performance assessment, career counseling, professional development, recognition, and resolving personnel issues
• Participate in requirements analysis, modeling and simulation, embedded software development, and verification/validation

Requirements

• BS STEM with 8+ years of software experience OR MS STEM with 6+ years
• Experience in embedded software development (C++, C#, Python or similar)
• Strong knowledge of software development life cycles
• Must be a US citizen (required for Secret clearance)
• Secret clearance required at start

Pay

$161,000–$241,700/year
