Monitor Technician – Telemetry

What you'll do

• Monitor cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac monitors
• Meet the communication needs of the department
• Transcribe physician orders in the absence of CPOE and EMR clinical documentation system
• Verify that lab tests and radiology tests have been ordered and completed
• Prepare and compile records in the ER; order supplies for the unit
• Assist nursing staff with indirect patient care duties as long as it does not distract from primary responsibility for dysrhythmia monitoring

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required (effective April 2014)
• Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate within 30 days of hire
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
• Six months previous experience in Healthcare or as Monitor Technician

Pay & benefits

$23.00–$26.62/hr
