Medical Assistant (Outpatient), Day Shift Full Time

About the Role

Adventist Health Glendale is one of the area's leading healthcare providers — a 515-bed hospital serving the San Fernando Valley with Magnet designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. This role performs non-invasive, routine, technical support services under the supervision of a licensed physician, podiatrist, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, or nurse midwife.

What You'll Do

• Set up exam rooms and check in patients; maintain a patient recall system for lab tests, referrals and transfers
• Obtain vital signs and report significant findings to the clinic physician
• Perform venipunctures as ordered
• Perform audiometry and vision testing

Requirements

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA): Preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification: Required
• Phlebotomy certificate: Preferred
