About the Role
Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology's Content Platforms & Operations team drives the technical and operational functions behind the worldwide distribution and monetization of Disney's linear networks and theatrical content. The Media Systems Engineer II focuses on architecting, designing, and constructing the technical platforms that power Disney's linear and digital media, working under the direction of senior engineers and 3rd party partners.
What You'll Do
- Architect, design, source, and construct media technology environments for content acquisition, production, storage, streaming, and distribution
- Resolve issues affecting production, broadcast, and content distribution, including system outages and malfunctions
- Conduct diagnostic testing, repair, and replacement activities across Playout Technology, Studios, Production Control Rooms, Remote Production, Post-Production, and Distribution Systems
Requirements
Strong theoretical and practical understanding of hardware and software technology powering linear and digital video/audio content generation, monetization, and distribution.
