About the Role
CSUN seeks a Mason to perform journey-level masonry work supporting campus maintenance, repair, and renovation projects - concrete, brick, block, plaster, stucco, and tile work.
What You'll Do
- Builds forms, grades, and shoots elevations; mixes, pours, and finishes concrete
- Breaks out and removes old concrete
- Executes plaster, stucco, and concrete block work; installs masonry blocks and bricks; saws concrete and tarmac
- Erects, maintains, and repairs forms and temporary masonry structures
- Operates cement mixers and related equipment
Requirements
- Journey-level masonry skills equivalent to completion of a mason's apprenticeship program
- Valid California driver's license
- Knowledge of masonry methods, materials, tools, equipment, and safety practices
- Working knowledge of related carpentry and demolition techniques
Schedule
- Full-time, 40 hrs/week, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM Monday-Friday (may include evenings/weekends)
- On-site in Northridge

- $5,355-$7,801/mo (hiring range $5,355-$6,658, based on qualifications)
