Manager of Infection Prevention and Control

About the Role

Promote a safety-supportive culture and consistent application of evidence-based medicine at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital. Analyze and identify trends from adverse events and hospital-acquired infections (HAIs); support education programs and implement HAI prevention initiatives.

Responsibilities

• 24-hour responsibility for all aspects of the Infection Prevention and Control Program
• Collect, report, and ensure accuracy of infection prevention data to outside sources
• Program development, planning, organizing, implementation, assessment, and performance improvement for HAIs and adverse events
• Collaborate with Associate Administrator of Quality and Patient Safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (required)
• Master's degree in Public Health or Healthcare Administration if not an RN (required); advanced clinical degree preferred
• 5+ years nursing or related healthcare/public health experience
• Registered Nurse (CA DCA) or Master's degree in Public Health/Healthcare Administration
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access
• Must read, write, and speak English fluently
