About the role
Crane Aerospace & Electronics (Burbank) is seeking a Temporary/Contract Maintenance Mechanic to perform mechanical repairs, design, modifications, and routine maintenance of infrastructure and manufacturing equipment.
What you'll do
- Perform mechanical work to OEM/design specifications: tooling design, lapping, milling, pipe fitting, equipment assembly and alignment, torque specs, multi-axis alignments
- Service and repair rotating/reciprocating machinery: pumps, single and 3-phase motors up to 50hp, combustion engines (generators, auto, diesel), fans, blowers, compressors, furnaces, environmental chambers, welders
- Design, repair, build, and modify application-specific plumbing (vacuum, cryogenic, high-pressure)
- Use tools including mill, lathe, grinders, drills, calipers, dial indicators, meters (vacuum, temperature, electrical, pressure)
- Maintain accurate records in computer maintenance management software
- Requisition materials, specify and maintain minimum stock inventory
