Lifeguard and swim instructor duties at multiple City of Burbank municipal swimming pools.
What you'll do
- Enforce rules and regulations and maintain discipline at a municipal swimming pool
- Rescue swimmers in distress and administer first aid and CPR
- Instruct or assist in classes in diving, swimming, basic and emergency water safety, and water sports
- Assist with general maintenance and clean-up, including filters and chlorinators
- Officiate at swim and dive meets
Requirements
- Knowledge of lifesaving and first aid techniques
- Valid First Aid Certificate meeting Emergency Medical Service Authority requirements
- Valid Water Safety Instructor's Certificate and Lifeguard Certificate
- Valid CPR and Communicable Disease Certificates within two weeks of appointment
- A valid California Class "C" driver's license may be required
