About the Role
Temporary lifeguard position with the City of Burbank, performing lifeguard duties at multiple municipal swimming pools.
What You'll Do
- Enforce rules and regulations and maintain pool discipline
- Rescue swimmers in distress and administer first aid and CPR
- Assist with general maintenance including filter and chlorinator operation
- Conduct tests for chlorine and acid levels
- Officiate at swim and dive meets
Requirements
- Valid First Aid Certificate (Emergency Medical Service Authority standard) at time of appointment
- Valid Lifeguard Certificate from authorized providers at time of appointment
- Valid CPR Certificate from authorized providers within two weeks of appointment
- Valid Communicable Disease Certificate from authorized providers within two weeks of appointment
- Valid California Class "C" driver's license may be required
