Insurance Verifier - Central Scheduling

About the Role

Insurance Verifier (Central Scheduling) at Providence Tarzana Medical Center. Responsible for securing appropriate patient account reimbursement by obtaining complex demographic, insurance, and medical information, and identifying services requiring authorization for treatment and referral information.

Requirements

• California Fire and Life Safety Card - National Organization, within 30 days of hire
• 1 year of experience in customer service or healthcare registration
• Clerical and computer experience
• Experience with State, Federal and other regulatory Compliance Regulations, including Medicare Secondary Payer, EMTALA, and ABN

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of college level coursework
• Completion of college level medical terminology or Medical Assistant course
• CHAA upon hire
• Healthcare experience in a hospital or clinical setting, health insurance or medical office, or previous registrar/verification/third-party payer experience
