A Host/Hostess at Denny's plays a special role for our guests. You are often their first impression and last impression, and we count on you to sincerely make them feel at home every time!

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes all customers immediately upon arrival, verifies party size, and determines special needs (e.g., high chairs, special menus)
• Seats customers at tables/booths appropriate for their needs
• Suggests new menu items from limited time offerings
• Collects payment from customers and makes correct change
• Assists with beverages like bold, signature or flavored coffees, and provides refills
• Keeps hostess area stocked and clean (to-go items, bakery products)
• Handles incoming telephone calls and takes to-go orders as appropriate
• Maintains proper supply of clean menus
• Assists service personnel in clearing and setting tables
• Resolves complaints as they arise, notifying the manager as needed
• Provides total guest satisfaction

Pay

Minimum: $17.87 - Maximum: $19.66
