Floor Technician, 3rd Shift

About the role

Floor Technician working under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor, performing a variety of custodial and floor care duties at a client site in Burbank. Third shift.

What you'll do

• Sweep, mop, and wash floors and other surfaces inside buildings
• Operate light and heavy commercial floor buffers and shampoo machines
• Vacuum, spot clean, and shampoo rugs as directed
• Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and all horizontal surfaces; periodic high dusting
• Wash windowsills, glass in interior doors, partitions, and windows; wash and spot clean interior walls
• Clean and restock bathrooms daily (glass surfaces, waste baskets, soap/TP dispensers, tile walls, floors)
• Monitor and report defects such as clogged urinals and burnt-out lights to supervisors
• Collect building trash and place in designated collection areas; replace bin liners
• Sweep or shovel snow from building entrances and walkways as directed
• Periodic duties: high dusting, leather and wood polishing, wall washing

Requirements

• No previous experience required
• Ability to take direction, work with minimal supervision, and cooperate as part of a team
• Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment, including back-pack portable vacuum
• Attention to detail, pride in excellent service, organization, and high energy/endurance

Pay & benefits

$18.47–$19.68/hr
