About the Role
Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills Medical Center has 3 openings for Temporary Seasonal Emergency Department RNs. Full-time, day shift, 36 hours/week.
What You'll Do
As the leader of the health care team, provide professional nursing care using the nursing process:
- Serve as health care team leader; delegate tasks appropriately and demonstrate accountability
- Develop and contribute to individualized plans of care reflecting assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Ensure patient safety for medications, procedures, falls, and infection prevention
- Ensure optimal pain control and patient comfort
- Practice customer service standards; promptly answer call lights, alarms, and patient requests
- Mentor and orient new employees; participate in problem identification and resolution
- Support a collaborative Labor-Management Partnership environment
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- California RN License upon hire
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification (American Heart Association) upon hire
- 1 year of nursing experience required
- National Certification in area of specialty preferred
