Development Quality Engineer I

About the Role

Abbott — a global healthcare leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies — is seeking a Development Quality Engineer I for their Sylmar, CA facility (15900 Valley View Court). You'll ensure requirements for Device/Combination Products through Abbott standard operating procedures and Product Lifecycle Management.

What You'll Do

• Quantitative analysis and data management for device quality
• Collect, clean, analyze, predict, and communicate information using technology
• Develop analysis plans that answer key business questions from data
• Apply machine learning algorithms and advanced statistics (regression, clustering, time-series forecasting, simulation)
• Present insights to site and executive management
• Work cross-functionally to devise test methodologies
• Identify process improvement opportunities
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert in team meetings and internal/external audits
• Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and site procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of experience; 1–2 years in pacing industry preferred
• Demonstrated written, verbal, analytical, and organizational skills

Preferred:

• Degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics, CS, Statistics, or Physics
• Programming experience: SQL, Python, R, Java, Scala, C++
• Strong Excel skills

Pay & Benefits

$73,900–$116,000/year
