Community Health Worker (Strength United)

About the Role

Supports community outreach, health education, and resource navigation efforts that advance health equity at Strength United (CSUN's University Corporation). Two openings. Connects residents with healthcare, mental health, and social services while strengthening community partnerships.

What You'll Do

• Conduct door-to-door outreach, annual household visits, and health screenings
• Support vaccination initiatives including mobile clinics
• Organize community convenings to identify health issues
• Develop educational and recruitment materials
• Collect data; complete funder reports and track grant milestones
• Assist with AmeriCorps volunteer and internship recruitment

Requirements

• High school diploma preferred; public health/community organizing experience preferred
• Bilingual Spanish speaker required
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Valid California driver's license, reliable vehicle, proof of insurance
• Pass background check and Live Scan

Schedule & Pay

• Full-time
• $20.19-$24.04/hr
