About the Role
Block LLP is seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Paralegal for its Habitability Department, supporting plaintiff-side cases involving unsafe housing, landlord negligence, and wrongful eviction.
What You'll Do
- Support attorneys through all stages of plaintiff-side litigation
- Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, and legal documents
- File legal documents with the court and track deadlines
- Maintain litigation calendars
- Communicate with clients, attorneys, experts, and court personnel
- Prepare materials for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trial
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years civil litigation paralegal experience
- Experience with discovery, pleadings, court filings, and deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Bilingual Spanish/English required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
