About the Role

Provides individualized patient assessments and behavioral treatments, understanding the developmental needs and range for each patient. Identifies and helps change potentially self-destructive or unhealthy behaviors. Works as part of a team of practitioners.

What You'll Do

• Interpret patient self-reports and/or psychological tests
• Provide opportunities for patients to learn healthy behavior in specific and observable ways
• Implement and modify treatment plans to meet identified patient needs
• Evaluate patients and plan activity therapy sessions for individuals and groups
• Ensure group program components are appropriate to the client population
• Maintain accurate records per departmental policies

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent: Required
• Certificate in mental health related education: Preferred
• Master's Degree: Preferred
• Experience with acute psychiatric inpatients: Preferred
• MOAB, PVMB, TEAM, or CPI certification: Preferred
