About the Role
Provides individualized patient assessments and behavioral treatments, understanding the developmental needs and range for each patient. Identifies and helps change potentially self-destructive or unhealthy behaviors. Works as part of a team of practitioners.
What You'll Do
- Interpret patient self-reports and/or psychological tests
- Provide opportunities for patients to learn healthy behavior in specific and observable ways
- Implement and modify treatment plans to meet identified patient needs
- Evaluate patients and plan activity therapy sessions for individuals and groups
- Ensure group program components are appropriate to the client population
- Maintain accurate records per departmental policies
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent: Required
- Certificate in mental health related education: Preferred
- Master's Degree: Preferred
- Experience with acute psychiatric inpatients: Preferred
- MOAB, PVMB, TEAM, or CPI certification: Preferred
