Avionics Technician I

About the Role

Location: Van Nuys, CA | Shift: Mon-Fri 7am-4pm Compensation: $36.37–$46.00 per hour

The Aircraft Avionics Technician is responsible for performing maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alterations on aircraft avionics systems in accordance with FAA regulations and Clay Lacy Aviation standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alterations on aircraft avionics systems
• Utilize current and approved technical data for all work performed
• Document all maintenance activities, discrepancies, and corrective actions
• Ensure all parts and materials meet airworthiness requirements prior to installation
• Verify calibration status of all tooling prior to use
• Identify and document discrepancies using appropriate forms and procedures
• Adhere to FAA regulations and OSHA safety requirements
• Maintain proficiency in avionics systems, tools, and acceptable maintenance practices

Required Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 3–5 years of aircraft avionics experience
• Demonstrated experience supporting Part 91 and/or Part 135 aircraft operations
• Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License preferred
• FCC License preferred
