About the Role
The Associate Broadcast & IT Support Engineer provides timely, professional support in a fast-paced 24x7x365 field newsgathering/production environment, primarily providing field support and occasionally assisting in-house Broadcast and IT teams.
What You'll Do
- Operate satellite trucks and portable satellite/microwave/streaming equipment for multi-path transmissions from outside broadcast locations
- Perform 24x7x365 broadcast technical support: installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of remote broadcast production equipment
- Coordinate technical installation with vendors and production teams
- Document quality standards, system anomalies, and operational procedures (AutoCad, ITSM ticketing)
- Manage parts/technology inventory with procurement and asset management teams
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in television, multimedia content, IT client service, or broadcast maintenance
- Familiarity with basic server/networking topology and OS (Windows, Unix)
- Ability to work all shifts in a 24x7x365 environment; lift 50 lbs and climb ladders
- CDL Class B License required
- 2- or 4-year technical degree (electronics or computer engineering preferred)
