About the Role
CSUN's Department of Business Law is hiring a tenure-track Assistant Professor to teach undergraduate and graduate business law courses using the Socratic method.
Responsibilities
- Teach business law courses; maintain weekly office hours; attend faculty meetings
- Participate in student learning assessment and departmental service
- Support student engagement activities; maintain an active research and publication record
Requirements
- J.D. or J.S.D. from an ABA-accredited law school; state bar admission at time of application
- College or university-level teaching experience in law or legal studies
- Either a J.S.D. earned within the past five years OR two law review publications within the past five years
Timeline
Effective August 18, 2027 (subject to budgetary approval). Preferred deadline August 20, 2026; position remains open until filled.
