The Assistant Editor handles technical and organizational editorial work from pre-production through post-production, maintaining an efficient editorial pipeline. Fully on-site, Glendale, CA.
What You'll Do
- Maintains Avid project and keeps files organized
- Manages and processes storyboards using Flix; imports layout, animation, and lighting shots
- Imports, logs, and preps dialogue recordings for editors (scratch dialogue, production recording, ADR)
- Outputs movie files for turnovers to sound, digital intermediate, and music departments
- Assists editors with Avid builds for screenings and QC of outputs
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in animation editorial
- High degree of proficiency in Avid Media Composer
- Understanding of feature animation pipeline and workflows
Pay
$53.40–$56.07/hr
