About the Role
The WBD Global Archives team is hiring an Archivist to support best practices in archival processing, cataloging, and preservation of Warner Bros.' collection of production assets, spanning digital and physical materials since 1923.
What You'll Do
- Processes and inventories digital and physical production assets from intake to long-term storage
- Creates catalog records, remediates metadata, and reports on database issues
- Participates in maintenance and inspection of Archives assets
- Supports the Supervisor, Archives on systems evaluations, metadata remediation, and cataloging normalization
- Contributes to Global Archives planning and strategy documents
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience cataloging production assets related to film and television history
- Experience within a film/TV industry archive strongly preferred
- Experience with databases, collection management systems, and metadata remediation preferred
- Familiarity with LTOs and digital archiving best practices strongly preferred
- MLIS degree or equivalent years of experience required
