Administrative Assistant, Film Music

About the role

This Administrative Assistant is a key member of the Creative/Production group within the Music department, specializing in production, creative, and budgetary areas of the film-music process. This position reports to the EVP, Film Music.

What you'll do

• Phones, scheduling, expense reports, booking travel, and other administrative duties as needed.
• Key part of maintaining work flow of the department.
• Support executives on "spillover" work: music research, soundtrack marketing, source/song music searches, temp-score research, and interfacing with record labels, publishers, artists, writers, musicians, music production companies, and composer agencies.
• Research song info to complete clearance forms for the licensing department.
• Help update and manage film music budgets and song breakdown reports.
• Oversee all music downloads and the organization of the department's music drive.
• Organize and distribute assets to filmmakers, executives and music editors as needed.

Requirements

• MS Word and Excel proficiency.
• Apple Music (and music apps, generally) and Mac proficiency.
• Minimum 2 years' experience working in music for a motion picture or television studio, production company, music label, composer, or music supervisor.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with the DISCO platform.
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task in a high speed, high stress office.

Schedule

Hybrid — currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week.

Pay & benefits

Salary range: $47,500–$60,000/yr.
