Urban Foraging Walk

Sun, Aug 9 · From $10 · Granada Hills

About this event

Join Alex, aka Tomato Girl, an urban foraging teacher and advocate, for an Urban Foraging Walk held as a Planned Parenthood fundraiser. Urban foraging is picking fruit and other edible plants from public property, and the walk begins by covering the safety, laws, and ethics involved. The route is about 1.5 miles and takes roughly two hours; it's stroller- and wheelchair-friendly, and ASL interpretation will be provided. Admission is $20 per adult and $10 per child, with all proceeds going directly to Planned Parenthood, and everyone working the event is a volunteer.
