For Halloween 2026, Revelry Theatre Group presents a new adaptation of Washington Irving's classic folktale The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. After three seasons centered on Shakespeare, this ghost story represents the company's commitment to its literacy initiative, expanding the repertoire to give audiences access to a wider range of classic literature. The story follows Ichabod Crane, an eccentric schoolmaster who arrives in Sleepy Hollow and fascinates the locals with his affinity for supernatural tales. His pursuit of the wealthy Katrina Van Tassel and rivalry with her suitor Brom Bones culminates in a terrifying midnight encounter with the Headless Horseman. Directed by Jesse Baxter and Cassidy Cagney, the production features a live musical ensemble and the cozy warmth of an autumn harvest celebration with a spooky undertone.
