About this event
Race for the Rescues is the largest annual fundraiser of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, no-kill organization dedicated to eliminating animal suffering and euthanasia. The event unites animal welfare organizations to fight pet overpopulation and raise funds for their life-saving work. Begun twenty years ago, it has raised over $7 million for animals in need. The day traditionally includes a 5K, a 1K Dog Walk, and a Virtual Race, and promotes the adoption of homeless animals. These tax-deductible funds help hardworking local nonprofit animal welfare organizations continue their work.
