Councilmember Imelda Padilla's annual free Día de los Muertos celebration returns to the Van Nuys Civic Center with traditional altars and a community ofrenda (families can bring a framed photo of a loved one), art, food, live music, a surprise movie screening, children's activities and a Catrina contest.
