Building a Neighborhood

Thu, Nov 19 · 6:30pm to 8pm · Free · Sylmar

About this event

In this interactive training, Stephanie Caridad, Executive Director of NoHo Home Alliance, leads a session on building a more inclusive, compassionate community for everyone who shares our streets. Participants move past misconceptions and explore practical, safe and empathy-driven ways to connect with unhoused neighbors. Whether you want to overcome fear, understand the challenges the unhoused community faces, or simply be a better neighbor, you will walk away with tools to make a meaningful difference. The event is part of Talking Neighbor to Neighbor, a PBS SoCal initiative that invites people to build neighborly connections and discuss issues affecting the region.
