The Westside Neighborhood Council approved two neighborhood purpose grants at its May 14 meeting.

The board approved $4,000 to the Westcoast Coalition for tree well clearing, graffiti and trash removal on Westwood Boulevard from Pico to Santa Monica Boulevard.
Tiffany Quintero, a company representative, attended the meeting to present the project.
The vote passed with one abstention from Seat 12.
The board also approved $2,000 to FOWLA to design, market, and promote a Shop Local campaign for the council.
FOWLA plans to hire Yvonne Condes to carry out the work.
