West Hills Backs Relaxed Parking Near Polling Sites

July 31, 2026 · Neighborhood Councils

The West Hills Neighborhood Council voted to support relaxed parking enforcement near polling sites during the 2026 elections.

The board approved a community impact statement in favor of Los Angeles City Council file CF 26-0701.

The file would instruct the Department of Transportation to relax parking restrictions near polling sites throughout the city.

The relaxation would apply during the primary and general elections, for as long as the polling sites are open for voting.

CF 26-0701 was introduced May 8, 2026, and referred to the City Council.

The vote was 10 yes, 0 no, and 1 abstention.
