Valley Glen Flags Arroyo Seco Park Tree Removal

A Greater Valley Glen Council member reported at the July 13, 2026 meeting on a proposal to alter Arroyo Seco San Pasqual Park.

The minutes state that Rec and Parks want to tear out Arroyo Seco San Pasqual Park to benefit a golf course in Pasadena.

The DEIR proposes tearing out 110 trees and feeding water to a golf course in Pasadena.

The minutes note that the site contains an Indian burial ground.

The Kizh/Tongva are fighting the proposal, according to the minutes.

The report noted that comments in opposition had to be submitted before 8/1/2026.
