Sunland-Tujunga Explores Donating Tree Trimmings to LA Zoo

The Sunland-Tujunga Neighborhood Council discussed organizing a program to donate tree branch trimmings to the Los Angeles Zoo.

Council President Lydia Grant said the zoo picks up branches from trimmed trees and gives them to its animals to eat.

Grant said she received a list from the zoo of tree species whose branches the animals will eat.

Grant said she would like to find a board member to serve as a point of contact to organize the effort.
