Sunland-Tujunga Fights McGroarty Housing in Fire Zone

The Sunland-Tujunga Neighborhood Council voted at its August 12 meeting to oppose a proposed housing development at 8100-8160 McGroarty Street.

The council voted 10 to 0 to send an updated letter to the City Planning Commission.

An appeal hearing on the project is scheduled for August 27 at the City Planning Commission.

A board member described the proposed housing as a fire hazard.
