Sunland-Tujunga Council Approves $1,000 for McGroarty Summer Event

The Sunland-Tujunga Neighborhood Council approved $1,000 for a summer event at the McGroarty Art Center.

The vote passed 12 yes, 1 no, and 0 abstain at the June 10, 2026 general board meeting.

Board member Melissa Sagastume made the motion and Nina Royal seconded it.

Board member Leny Freeman cast the lone no vote.

The event is called Burgers, Blues and Brews and is scheduled for August 22 from 6 to 10 p.m.
