Sunland-Tujunga Council Keeps 2027 Elections Local

The Sunland-Tujunga Neighborhood Council debated how to conduct its 2027 board elections at the August 12 meeting.

The options were the City Clerk's election process or the council's own selection process.

Board member Lydia Grant argued for local control, saying the council could set its own date and location, count the votes itself, and avoid extra cost.

Grant moved to use the selection process as the baseline for future voting, and board member Melissa seconded the motion.
