Sunland-Tujunga Backs Safety Appeal at 7921 Denivelle

The Sunland-Tujunga Neighborhood Council voted 13-0 on September 9, 2026 to support the safety appeal for the property concerns at 7921 Denivelle.

The motion also requested that city planning and grading look at and evaluate the lot.

A neighbor told the board that a retaining wall more than two stories high was built at the site but that another retaining wall is needed.

The minutes state that there are serious cracks in the retaining wall and that a critical retaining wall on the west side has been omitted.

The minutes also note that a gas line is now encased in solid concrete and that the neighbor bringing the concern hasn't had gas or hot water in more than 20 years.
