Sunland-Tujunga Approves $25,000 Annual Budget

The Sunland-Tujunga Neighborhood Council approved its annual operating budget for fiscal year 2026 to 2027 at a special meeting on June 29, 2026.
The board voted nine yes, zero no, with seven members absent.
The approved budget totals $25,000 in annual funds from the city.
Office and operational expenses account for $9,800 of the total.
Key office items include $3,000 for storage rental, $2,400 for website hosting and maintenance, $1,300 for email services, and $500 for a post office box.
The outreach budget is $7,700.
Planned outreach spending includes $3,000 for the July 4 parade, $2,000 for National Night Out, and $500 for a McGroarty Art Center summer event.
The elections budget is $6,500.
Community improvement projects received $1,000, split between tree watering and a welcome garden.
The council carried $12,998.09 in unspent funds from the current fiscal year into the rollover at the start of the new fiscal year.
